5 Things You Must Know About Infection Control
1. Keep paper napkins and sanitizers handy
Infections can lead to bigger diseases and spread quickly. However you can use some basic to avoid these infections. It is always said that prevention is better than cure. Once the infection catches hold of you, you get into these dirty big antibiotics and their ill effects. To prevent and control infections you need to take that extra step. Use paper napkins to cover your mouth while you sneeze, cough or yawn. Cloth napkins accumulate germs and bacteria which can lead to infections. Keep changing your paper napkin as and when required. Keep a sanitizer in your bag or your pocket always. When in public place or when you touch an object used by various people sanitize your hands.
2. Wash your hands properly
Your hands are said to be the main source of infections. When your hands are not washed properly you tend to invite infections. Wash your hands with water and soap if required use a disinfectant soap to wash your hands before having food. When in a public place you can always sanitize your hands after touching unhygienic places. Clean hands are prone to invite fewer infections as 90% of the infections are due to unclean hands.
3. Strengthen you immune system
Eating a healthy balanced diet, drinking plenty of pure water is the best way of keep infections at bay. A healthy diet help is strengthening your immunity. Stronger immunity has the capacity of fighting germs and bacteria better keeping the unwanted infections at a distance. Water also helps. Drinking plenty of pure form of water helps in draining out the toxins from your body. Accumulated toxins in your body hamper your immune system and restrict it from fighting infectious diseases. Very well said a strong body has the capacity of staying young for long.
4. Wash fruits and vegetables properly
Before consuming any fruit or vegetable you need to wash them properly. Vegetables and fruits are grown in mud hence contain a number of bacteria that needs to be washed properly before consuming. In fact these days almost any and every fruit or vegetable that you find in the market are sprayed with harmful pesticides. Washing them properly before consuming them raw or cooking them is important. This is not it; leafy vegetables contain bacteria that can cause stomach infections. Try to avoid these vegetables during the rainy season as the bacteria works actively in humidity.
5. Maintain hygiene
Maintaining personal hygiene is very important. Staying clean, having a bath twice a day, cleaning parts of your body that sweat, cutting off your nails, etc are some ways of maintaining personal hygiene. Besides personal hygiene you also need to keep your house and your surroundings clean to live infection free. Your surrounding is a very important part of your life as you live in it. It needs to be as clean as your house. Littering around, spitting in public places dirty your surroundings. These dirty surroundings are unhygienic and unsafe to live in as they spread infections.
