Did you Know Drinking Can Cause Premature Ejaculation?
It's true! Alcohol can be a major cause of premature ejaculation and other sexual dysfunctions. Now that doesn't mean that having a drink or two after work will automatically cause you to have premature ejaculations, but you should be aware that alcohol can have a serious effect on your body and may cause sexual dysfunctions like premature ejaculations if abused.
Even though most people don't think of alcohol as a drug alcohol is really a drug and has effects on your body like other drugs do. Just because alcohol is a legal drug doesn't mean it won't have an impact on your body. This is especially true for men who drink frequently or drink a lot. You might think that if you only one or two beers at night you are not putting yourself at risk for developing problems with premature ejaculation or other sexual problems and you may not be. But if you drink one or two beers every single day then you are seriously increasing your risk of developing alcohol related sexual problems like premature ejaculation or even erectile dysfunction.
Drinking heavily, like going out on a weekend night with your pals and getting drunk will probably not cause you to have ejaculatory problems. But drinking heavily everyday or on a regular and consistent basis may cause all kinds of sexual dysfunctions for men. If you suddenly find yourself having a problem with premature ejaculation one of the first things you should examine is how much you drink and how often you drink. Alcohol is a frequent cause of premature ejaculation in men.
Alcohol is usually thought of as a sedative, something that people take to relax, so it seems natural that men who suffer from performance anxiety or men who have anxiety issues would want to have a few drinks before they enter a sexual situation with their partner but that is a big mistake. While alcohol may relax your anxiety it may also cause premature ejaculation or even erectile dysfunction which will just increase the anxiety that you're trying to stop.
Alcohol can also interfere with the way that medications work. If you are taking medications already for premature ejaculation or other sexual dysfunction then the alcohol can diminish the effectiveness of those drugs and the sexual problem you are taking medications for will return. Most doctors tell their patients very clearly not to drink alcohol while they are taking medication for depress, anxiety, or sexual dysfunction because they know that the alcohol will make the drugs ineffective.
If you are serious about fixing your problem with premature ejaculation a good place to start is to stop drinking alcohol and using drugs all together. If it's hard for you to give up drinking alcohol that might be a sign that you have a problem with alcohol that may require treatment. Premature ejaculation and other sexual dysfunctions that you suffer from may or may not be the result of alcohol but your alcohol consumption is surely not helping to solve the problem. So cut out the alcohol and you will be making the first step towards solving your sexual dysfunction problems.
