Improving the Face with Acupuncture
By the time we reach our 30s or 40s, most of us no longer enjoy the complexion and the facial skin that we once enjoyed in our youth. Whether the skin that was once radiant is no longer so radiant or whether fine lines or wrinkles have set in, maybe people would like to improve their complexion or overall skin tone. Botox is the first thing that comes to mind, followed closely by plastic surgery.
There is a healthy alternative to Botox and plastic surgery and this means alternative medicine in the form of acupuncture. Acupuncture that is used to improve the quality of the face is known as facial rejuvenation acupuncture. Facial rejuvenation acupuncture seeks to not only revitalize the facial area but also to support the overall good health of an individual. When the inner vitality of a person is improved the radiance of the skin is improved upon and so is the glow that naturally is supposed to be evident in the eyes. When everything is in harmony, a person's inner glow shows through.
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture helps to improve the circulation of the flow of blood as well as increasing the production of collagen in the skin. This form of acupuncture also helps to improve skin tone as well as increasing the strength of the facial muscles. This form of acupuncture boasts high levels of successes among clients.
There are many benefits to facial rejuvenation acupuncture. This form of acupuncture helps to improve the tone of the facial muscles well as dermal contraction; it helps to increase the production of collagen in the skin; it reduces the development of bags under the eyes; it reduces sagging and jowls that sometime show up on the face; it reduces puffiness that makes itself apparent on the face and it helps eliminate the appearance of fine lines on the skin.
But the benefits do not end there. Larger wrinkles that go way beyond fine lines are reduced thanks to facial rejuvenation acupuncture and for those who suffer from acne or dry skin there is a balancing of the hormones that affect the skin. This form of acupuncture helps to moisten the skin because it leads to increased circulation to the facial area and the increased circulation helps to improve the color of the face from sallow to radiant. Other benefits include tightening of the pores of the skin; the reduction of spots due to age; the lifting of eyelids that are droopy; and finally a decrease in the amount of stress that is obvious in the face and the ability for glowing and radiant skin to re-emerge.
Facial rejuvenation acupuncture is considered to be a safe alternative to both Botox as well as plastic surgery as it has a great deal less of potential side effects to worry about. Two other names for this type of acupuncture are cosmetic acupuncture and acupuncture facelift.
For this form of acupuncture to be successful there generally need to be an average of 10 to 15 treatments on a consecutive basis and the first 6 to 10 treatments should be undertaken twice each and every week. Once these treatments are finished the acupuncturist will decided what is needed in requires to maintenance of the skin, such as monthly treatments or seasonal treatments.
