5 Things You Must Know About Alcoholism For Your Own Good
can be an ugly double-edged sword if you allow it to be. Because not only does it damage your personal life, it can also damage your health beyond repair, if you allow it to do so. There are five things you must know about alcoholism for your own good to ensure that you live good and do not die hard before your time. These five things include the following:
1. Symptoms of Alcohol Abuse - Some people do drink responsibly, while others have no clue what the meaning of responsible means. This is where they tend to border on being irresponsible and compulsive where their drinking is concerned. What are the symptoms of alcohol abuse? The first symptom is one's visible inability to control their alcohol content limits. Some of the other symptoms include drinking solely or drinking in secret, having black-outs with no memory, physical withdrawal symptoms such as sweating profusely, shaking, nausea, and drinking just to be drunk. These are all indications that alcoholism has taken you over instead of you controlling it.
2. Drinking alcohol long-term has damaging health effects - If you continually drink alcohol for a number of years or indefinitely. There are long-term damaging health effects that do go along with it and some of these health effects are permanent. It can lead to liver disease, different types of cancer, heart disease and pancreatitis.
3. does kill - Not only does alcohol affect the body and mind in a number of different ways. It also goes about killing the body from a good health perspective. 4. The risks that go with alcohol territory - There are numerous risks that plague alcoholism and they include being openly aggressive and wanting to get into fights. Having sex that is unplanned in a number of cases and unprotected from HIV and STDS. The mixing of alcohol with prescriptions or other drugs can prove to be a deadly combination. Dying from alcohol poisoning or overdosing on it can also happen. Drinking can make you very erratic and mess up good relationships in your life. The list goes on.
5. The alcoholism facts for reality - Alcohol abuse facts are that about thirteen million people will abuse this legal drug in some shape or form each year, and the numbers are still growing. The other eye-opening and very disturbing fact are this. More than 100,000 lives are lost for drinking in excess annually. That's the cold hard reality of drinking. It can get you dead.
