How To Achieve a Fit Body
There are many of us who dream about having a fit body but few of us know how to achieve a fit body without having to buy expensive equipment or hire an expensive fitness trainer or by spending a small fortune on all the latest books, CDS and fitness programs. If you are craving a lean, toned body and would love to be healthier and feel better about yourself then there is hope, so keep on reading.
There are many reasons why people fail to achieve the fit body they desire. One is that they lack motivation, or they set their goals too high, they can also be confused about what they really need to do in order to achieve the level of fitness they desire.
Sometimes the best way to overcome our failures regarding fitness is to breakdown fitness into easily attainable bite-sized areas.
The three areas that would help anyone achieve a fit body are:
Better Nutrition
Weight Training
Cardio Workout
Better Nutrition begins with understanding our present food habits. Then we need to know what healthy eating looks like. Healthy eating that contributes to a lean, fit body consists of eating small, well-balanced meals every 3 to 4 hours. Eating in this pattern increases your metabolism.
Each meal should contain a lean protein such as chicken, fish, lean red meat and a starchy complex carbohydrate such as a whole grain, brown rice, or a vegetable.
Try a meal replacement drink for one of the small meals.
We all know we have to eat better nutritious foods, so start right now with your next meal.
Weight training is one area of fitness that you really need to have a plan before starting to do it.
Real effective weight training is all about lifting heavy weight, not variety, or body positioning, or by doing numerous reps with lightweight. In order to build muscle you need to lift heavy weight safely.
Take a class, search for a reputable weight lifting Website and read up on what really works with weight training.
Cardio raises your metabolic rate so you can burn calories even at rest. You don't burn the calories while doing the cardio workout but afterwards while at rest.
Cardio workouts should be brief (15 - 20 minutes).
Concentrate on one of the above three areas at time and do the best you can to achieve that area of fitness. When you feel comfortable with that area, move on to the next and then after that to the third area until you are focused and achieving in all three areas.
