You Don't Need Fancy Expensive Equipment To Get Fit
So much commercialism surrounds the fitness field today with many celebrities pushing this equipment or that program proclaiming that we need to buy their products in order to get a fit body. The truth is that we can have a fit body that is stronger, trim and at the weight that we desire without any sort of fitness equipment or fancy program.
Most of us associate getting fit with having to go to a gym to work out or to buy expensive fitness equipment because this is the image that we are bombarded with everyday.
All we really basically need is our own bodies to stay fit. Your own body can work as its own fitness equipment. Running, doing push-ups, sit-ups, and chin ups; stretching, even shadow boxing is great fitness exercises that will get your body into shape. Swimming is a great exercise that only needs a body of water and your body.
Choose just 15 minutes a day and vow to spend that time doing running in place, push ups, chin ups, sit ups and other exercises like jump roping, squat thrusts, or crunches and doing this everyday will soon get your body in good shape.
Your body is an amazing piece of equipment that is meant to move, to stretch and to keep itself in shape just by moving all the body parts. Staying active and getting off of the couch can improve your fitness level.
Make an effort to do things everyday that requires more energy and more physical effort from you. Take the stairs; make yourself walk instead of drive when the distance is short from where you are to where you want to be.
If we look at ourselves in the mirror and look at all the body parts that move, we can learn how to stay fit without equipment by simply doing exercises that move our body parts. Yoga is a perfect example of moving our body parts in fluid movements that can bring health and fitness to our entire body. Dancing is another good example of an exercise that is fun to do, gets our heart pumping and burns calories. We move our legs, arms and even our head while we dance. We bend, turn, twist, even jump while dancing which all comes together to make an excellent all body workout without having to use any fitness equipment at all.
