Sleep Texting - A new phenomenon that affects stressed people

Sleep texting is a rare condition that affects people who are too stressed everyday making them send incoherent text messages to their friends or families and are totally unaware that they are actually doing it in their sleep.

Dr. David Cunnington, a sleep specialist of Melbourne, Australia, explains that patients have declared sleep texting. It is a seldom-seen condition.

People who have so much to do while awake seem to be prone to this condition. It is also very likely that when one is extremely busy and always on a call during the daytime it is also possible to subconsciously think one has to work while sleeping too. Thus, sending random text messages.

However, sleep emailing is more common according to researchers at the University of Toledo, Ohio. It was reported that a certain case of a 44-year old woman sent email messages to her colleagues while sleeping. This situation is much more detrimental to people who suffer from the condition compared to individuals who experience sleep texting.
